MAI Conditions for Wearing a Protective Mask Outdoors

MAI explains below the conditions under which masks must be worn by Romanians when they are outdoors, and you must pay attention to the distinctions that the authorities make for the various conditions in which we are obliged to wear them.

"THE PROTECTIVE MASK MUST BE WEARED:

At the level of localities where the incidence is less than or equal to 6/1000 inhabitants

in closed public spaces, public transport, at work, commercial premises
in open public spaces, such as, but not limited to: markets, fairs, bazaars, shopping malls, public transport stations, as well as in other areas established by decision of the county committee/Bucharest municipality for situations of expedite.

At the level of localities where the incidence is higher than 6/1000 inhabitants

in closed public spaces, public transport, at work, commercial premises
in all open public spaces except for people who carry out activities, including sports, individually or together with the people they live with. Other exceptions can be established, at the proposal of the county public health departments, respectively of the Bucharest municipality, by decisions of the county committees, respectively of the Bucharest municipality for emergency situations.
IT IS NOT MANDATORY TO WEAR THE PROTECTIVE MASK IF THE PERSON IS ALONE ON THE STREET.

REGARDLESS OF THE INCIDENCE, THE PROTECTIVE MASK SHOULD NOT BE WEARED BY:

vaccinated persons for whom 10 days have passed since the completion of the complete vaccination scheme located at workplaces located in closed spaces, provided that a maximum of 10 persons are present and a distance of 1 meter is ensured between them, and in the respective areas it is not allowed access to the public or other workers. The exception does not apply to common enclosed spaces;
-children under 5 years of age;

-people who are alone in the office;

- TV presenters and their guests, provided that the distance of 3 meters between people is respected;

Depending on the risk assessment, carried out by the unit's occupational medicine doctor, exceptions may also be applied for people who:
-suffers from diseases that affect oxygenation capacity;

- carry out intense physical activities and/or in demanding working conditions (high temperatures, high humidity, etc.)."
