Valeriu Gheorghita announced for millions of Romanians from all over the country a new emergency measure that must be implemented as quickly as possible, and this because the increased appetite of Romanians for vaccination must also be accommodated by open centers all over the country.
Valeriu Gheorghita says that there will be more vaccination centers with an extended schedule throughout the country, and that vaccination marathons will be organized so that Romanians have the opportunity to get vaccinated more easily whenever they want to do so in order to protect.
"Also, I would like to say that taking into account this increasing addressability of people for vaccination, we decided that for the Municipality of Bucharest, every weekend, until the end of the year, we will organize such a vaccination marathon in a vaccination center in practically every sector, which ensures accessibility after a prolonged program of people for vaccination.
In the following days we will announce the centers where we will have an extended schedule. What we proposed is to have a program from 8:00 in the morning until 12:00 at night, and during the night period to ensure the sanitation of the rooms and the number of people, from what we observed, who come in the 12:00 p.m. – 8:00 a.m. interval is significantly lower and then these centers are likely to operate with extended hours and not be 24 hours a day.
Regarding vaccination in atypical locations, as was the marathon this weekend, as is the ongoing marathon in the six military hospitals and as we will continue in the next period on weekends, precisely to increase accessibility people for vaccination, we can note that for all these locations that already exist, we have a 12% increase in the number of vaccinated people compared to last week.
Also, in these two days of October, as already announced, the Ministry of National Defense is organizing the vaccination marathon "Together for life, together for the future" in the six military hospitals in the country: in Iasi, Cluj-Napoca, Constanța, Craiova , Brașov and Timisoara. This marathon ends tonight at 20pm. Up to this moment there are almost 00 people who have been vaccinated in the six centers, as I mentioned."
