The digital green certificate, or the COVID certificate, has become mandatory in Romania for a variety of activities in order to prove that we are vaccinated, cured, or tested, but those who are just now getting vaccinated must know a very important aspect.
The digital green certificate is issued 10 days after the completion of the complete vaccination scheme, i.e. 10 days after vaccination with the single Johnson & Johnson dose, or 10 days after vaccination with the second dose of Pfizer BioNTech, Moderna, or AstraZeneca vaccine, but no longer early.
When is the Digital Green Certificate issued after Vaccination?

For vaccinated persons, the EU digital travel certificate is validated 10 days after the complete vaccination schedule.
The certificate can be downloaded from the online platform.
The people who can obtain the EU Digital Certificate after vaccination are:
- those who completed the complete vaccination scheme in Romania;
- those who performed at least one dose in Romania from the complete scheme;
- those who have completed the full scheme in a third country (NON EU) and are
- Romanian citizens or their family members;
The certificate can be scanned with the Check DCC Application, made by STS - the Special Telecommunications Service, which can be downloaded for free from the Google Play application store on a mobile phone or tablet with the Android operating system.
Certificate verification can also be done on mobile phones with the IOS operating system, through the Web Check DCC functionality.
