DNSC has issued a very important alert for Romanians from all over the country, and this is because in this period when many of us shop online, we are possible targets of cyber attacks that take place non-stop.
DNSC tries to put Romanians "on guard" during this time of the year, and this is because there are many cyber threats that we should know about, and which can generally cause us extremely big problems, if they are ignored.
"We are patient and attentive when shopping online during the month of gifts!
We avoid accessing links and providing sensitive information after receiving messages from unknown sources.
We validate the existence of promotions on the official channels of companies that present us with offers that are 'too good to be true'.
We carefully check the security and reputation of the site before making transactions.
We use temporary payment instruments as much as possible, where we allocate a limited budget exclusively for online shopping.
We report any attempted fraud to the Directorate at alerts[@]dnsc.ro or to the call center dedicated to cyber security incidents - 1911."
