Why must the fee of 9 lei be paid, even if the VAT is not paid (again)?
The customs presentation fee of 9 lei, provided for in the international postal regulations (Universal Postal Union Convention), is charged by CN Poșta Română SA for the customs processing of low-value postal items, including those with no commercial value or with VAT paid at source.
Also, the electronic customs declaration for any goods ordered from outside the European Union is mandatory.
