New cases of infection with the Omicron variant of the Coronavirus were discovered in Romania, the Ministry of Health published the information below regarding the detections made in the last hours in our country, and everything is heading in the direction predicted by the authorities.

9 more cases of infection with the Omicron strain of the Coronavirus were confirmed today, and for now the total number remains small, but in January it should explode, if we are to believe the public health experts.

"The number of cases of infection with the OMICRON variant of the SARS-CoV-2 virus is increasing.

9 more cases of infection with this strain were confirmed today, December 23, 2021.

It is about 6 people (3 men and 3 women) aged between 19 and 84 from Bucharest, a 31-year-old man from Dâmbovița county with a history of travel to Great Britain, a 43-year-old man from Ilfov county with travel history to Belgium and another 49-year-old from Prahova county.

Among them, a number of 5 people are unvaccinated, the rest being immunized with the full scheme.
