DIGI RCS & RDS: MAJOR Changes from 2022 Impacting Millions of Customers

DIGI RCS & RDS is one of the largest telecommunications groups in Romania, and in 2022 the company is making a series of extremely serious changes for the millions of customers who use its services throughout the country.

At the end of 2021, DIGI RCS & RDS initiated an expansion of services that will form the basis of the evolution of the telecommunications group in Romania in the coming years, more precisely those of fixed internet with speeds that reach up to 10 Gbps.

Until now, these new services have already been launched in some areas of Bucharest, the only city in the country where the company has decided to offer the possibility of contracting them, thanks to the advanced fiber optic infrastructure there.

Of course, we cannot activate the new services in the entire capital, and here we are not only referring to the 10 Gbps connectivity, but also to the 2.5 Gbps one, the availability being limited due to the need to change certain equipment in order to provide access.

As this happens, those from DIGI RCS & RDS will offer connectivity of up to 10 Gbps for domestic customers not only in Bucharest, but also in various other locations in Romania, and all so that people can have access to the best internet browsing experience.

In Spain, the company has already been offering good services of this kind for local customers for several months, and of course Romania had to benefit from the same thing so that Romanians can surf the Internet at high speeds from their own homes.

How long it will take for DIGI's ultra fast internet services to be offered in several areas of Romania is not known, but most likely it will be a matter of waiting a good few months before everything is offered in several areas of the country.

RCS & RDS took it far ahead of other telecommunications groups in Romania with these ultra-fast internet services, those from Orange having a similar offer, but it is dedicated exclusively to companies, not to individuals in Romania.

The prices that the Romanian group asks for these services are also surprisingly low, only 45 LEI for connections up to 2.5 Gbps and 50 LEI for 10 Gbps, in line with what it has asked so far for the others telecommunication services.
