DIGI Romania is one of the largest telecommunications groups in our country, and the largest Romanian one, and the way it does business has now also brought an official announcement that stunned millions of Romanians.
DIGI Romania has been for several years the Romanian telecommunications group that has the most gateways registered in its own network, something that is not easy to achieve in a market where 4 large companies "fight" for somewhere just over 20 millions of customers.
DIGI Romania still managed to offer sufficiently attractive services for its customers from all over Romania, so in 2021 it attracted, through porting, no less than 570.000 phone numbers to its own network. The figure represents 54% of the total of 1,050 million numbers ported between telecommunications operators in Romania, so DIGI Romania has attracted more customers to its network than all other telecommunications operators combined, an impressive achievement.
DIGI Romania was part of this achievement thanks to the fact that it has very good prices for the services it offers, something that is of course not easy to achieve, even in a market like the one in Romania. Despite this, the operator has managed to establish itself, despite the fact that the services it offers on the mobile telephony side are far, in terms of quality, from what is available from competing telecommunications groups at the moment .
DIGI Romania still has low enough prices for many Romanians to choose to use its services, and the 2021 record stands as proof that Romanians want cheaper services.
Quality seems to be in 2nd place here, but that's not exactly something entirely surprising, and as things unfolded in 2021, but also as the economic context of 2022 shows, it's possible that the group will also be at the top at the goalkeepers this year as well.
Throughout 2021, DIGI Romania had porting offers with a 50% discount on the monthly price of subscriptions for various periods of time, starting in 2022 with the same porting strategy.
