Volkswagen Official Decision Announced Cars

Volkswagen, one of the most famous car brands in Europe, has a new ambassador for electric cars starting in 2022. This is the former great footballer Francesco Totti, the emblematic captain of the AS Roma football team, and the winner of the World Cup in 2006 with the Italian national team.

Volkswagen, through the brand's Italian division, chose to team up in the advertising campaigns for electric vehicles with the legendary Totti to promote the innovative ID range with the motto: "Electric for everyone, Electric for Totti".

The collaboration with the German group will last two years, with the aim of promoting the manufacturer's electric models as much as possible, and presenting the new concept of electric mobility to the general public. The former Roma captain will have at his disposal the electric models Volswagen ID3, in the sedan version with compact dimensions, and the sport SUV with all-wheel drive Volkswagen ID4 GTX, which together with the ID5 model make up the electric trident of the brand from Wolfsburg.

The director of Volkswagen Italia is very enthusiastic about the collaboration with Francesco Totti, considering the immense popularity enjoyed by the former footballer: "We are excited about the agreement with Francesco Totti. For us it represents more than a simple promotional initiative: it is the beginning of a long-term collaboration in which we are sure that Franceso, with his unique personality and his ability to speak to the general public, will help us to bring many people together to electric mobility Wolkswagen."

Francesco Totti is known as a great engine enthusiast, declaring himself delighted with the new collaboration with the German group: "I am particularly proud to be part of the Volkswagen family through this partnership. My passion for cars, but also for the Volkswagen brand, began a long time ago with the purchase of a Golf Gti. This will be a special collaboration for me, which will allow me to be an ambassador, but above all to promote the new concept of electric mobility, which will lead to a real revolution in our everyday life, making it easier for everyone the world and above all, more sustainable"   said Francesco Totti.

Volkswagen invests massively in electric cars, and over the years aims to expand its range to meet the expectations of a constantly growing clientele.

Francesco Totti, still loved throughout Italy and not only by football fans, is therefore all that the German brand needed, the former footballer being also in 2013, the image of Volkswagen, together with other teammates.
