Minister of Education: Important New Last Minute Measures Announced in Romanian Schools

The Minister of Education Important New Measures Last Minute Announced Romania's Schools

The Minister of Education has revealed a series of important new last-minute measures that he has prepared for schools and students from all over Romania, they will bring major changes for educational units, and this is because there will be a new review of the plans framework.

The Minister of Education said that although they have already been revised, he will undertake the request for another revision that he considers necessary for students to benefit from the best possible educational act at the moment, and we could also see new subjects included.

"In September 2023, we will have the new high school plans. The framework plan is that list of disciplines, and the number of hours allocated to each discipline. According to the framework plans, the school curriculum follows for each of these disciplines that are part of them. For the gymnasium, the framework plans have already been revised.

Unfortunately, and many colleagues will be angry with me, the revision of the framework plans and programs were so strongly revised that they were "revolutionized" by small, small, very small changes. In this situation, although upset, I undertake the request to review them once more. I understand, you reviewed them, we take note of the complaints for them, but review them one more time.

One of the challenges that has been brewing for a very long time is not directly related to the health crisis we are going through, education for life. These subjects that generate absolutely necessary knowledge can be grouped into some modules, as I said generically, of education for life. Through intelligent planning this can be achieved.

That's why I said that I want to revise the framework plans for the gymnasium, even if they were revised recently, together with the framework plans for the high school, precisely to respond to this challenge. Environmental education was one of the main themes of a recent international meeting, on which occasion we noticed an interest of young people in environmental education.

In Romania we have proposed, and probably from next year, we will have an environmental education week, a green week in which students can get out of the buildings and interact with the environment."
