Minister of Defense Important Official Announcement Covers the Whole of Romania

The Minister of Defense sends an official message to Romanians from all over the country regarding a series of important measures for Romania that have been officially taken, and they mainly aim at collaboration with the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Netherlands, and the joint training of Romanian soldiers and the Dutch ones.

"Today I had a meeting with the ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, His Excellency, Mr. Roelof van EeS to discuss aspects related to the relationship between the Netherlands and Romania in the field of defense, but also about cooperation within the projects developed in the NATO and EU format .

I conveyed to the Ambassador Romania's interest in intensifying joint Romanian-Dutch training activities, including in a multinational framework. I welcomed the participation of the military of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the multinational exercise RAPID FALCON 22, held on the territory of Romania in March of this year, emphasizing the importance of increasing interoperability between the armed forces of the allied states.

He also discussed, of course, the security situation in the context of the ongoing Russian-Ukrainian war. We talked about the support that both the Netherlands and Romania give to Ukraine. Both I and Ambassador van EeS expressed our interest in the in-depth collaboration between our countries in order to ensure a climate of security and stability in Europe.

In this context, the ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands presented the letter of participation in the Allied Battle Group from Romania, with France as the framework nation, with 200 soldiers, this decision to contribute to NATO actions in order to strengthen the eastern flank.
