For now, only certain countries recommend the fourth dose of vaccine, the second booster, and exclusively for vulnerable people, not for the general population, so it remains to be seen what will be recommended in the end.

More interesting, however, is the editorial that accompanies the article. And which points out that, in people aged 12-18, two doses of the vaccine confer long-lasting immunity, according to another recently published study.
I think the most important phrase in the editorial is the following: "If we are to move from pandemic to endemic, at some point we are going to have to accept that vaccination or natural infection or a combination of the two will not offer long-term protection against mild illness."
The message being very clear: vaccination prevents serious forms of illness and death. This must remain the desired. Eventually, at some point, we will have to get used to the idea that, vaccinated or infected in advance, we are susceptible to moderate or asymptomatic forms of the disease, as we do every year at least one or two coronaviruses with the classic viruses.>
