European Parliament Extended Validity of the COVID Certificate

The European Parliament voted and adopted a resolution to extend the validity of the COVID certificate, the document that in some states certifies vaccination, or healing from the infection generated by COVID-19, or testing to confirm the absence of infection.

The European Parliament adopted this document to impose movement restrictions, but also to facilitate the transport of Europeans to various countries without the need for quarantine, and now it will be used until June 30, 2023, at the earliest.

The European Parliament voted to extend the validity of the Covid certificate by another year!

The MEPs decided to maintain the Covid digital certificate for another 12 months, until June 30, 2023.

In addition, they will ask the European Commission to assess the need for the certificate after a period of 6 months from the extension, after December 2022, according to the recommendations of the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) and the Committee for Health Security Committee (HSC).
