Russia Declares Persona Non Grata Employees of the Romanian Embassy in Moscow

Russia has announced that it has declared 10 employees of the Romanian embassy in Moscow persona non grata, according to an information provided by the country's press, the Romanian ambassador, Cristian Istrate, being informed of this decision by the authorities in Moscow, so that those persons will have to leave the country.

Black Russia took this decision after in April Romania declared 10 Russian diplomats persona non grata and asked them to leave Romania, the authorities in Moscow also affirming that they deny any kind of accusations that the soldiers of its army have committed war crimes in Ukraine during the invasion.

"On May 13, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Romania to the Russian Federation, Cristian Istrate, was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, where he was handed the ministry's note regarding the declaration of ten employees of the Romanian embassy in Moscow as personae non gratae (unacceptable).

The Russian side resolutely rejects the unfounded attempts of the Romanian side to baselessly attribute the blame for war crimes in Ukraine to Russia and condemns Bucharest's policy of exonerating the atrocities committed by the national battalions against civilians, as well as providing weapons, equipment and other assistance to the Kiev regime."
