The Minister of Health transmits a last-minute information about an extremely important decision that was taken for millions of Romanians throughout the country, and this is because we are talking about a donation act that was made to Romania by South Korea, and you can see that it is about 600.00 rapid antigen tests for COVID-19.

The Minister of Health says that these tests have already been distributed to medical units throughout Romania, but also to county ambulance services and residential centers, and they will be used to test Romanians suspected of having a possible infection caused by the Coronavirus.

"The Republic of Korea donated to Romania 600.000 rapid antigenic tests for the detection of COVID-19. Today, May 16, 2022, it took place at the headquarters of the Unifarm company, in the presence of the Minister of Health, Prof. Univ. Dr. Alexandru Rafila and His Excellency Rim Gap-soo, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea in Romania, the donation ceremony of 600.000 rapid antigen tests for the detection of COVID-19.

During the ceremony, the Minister of Health and the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea in Romania highlighted the close cooperation between the two governments in the field of public health, especially in the effort to fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. We remind you that in October 2021, Romania offered help to the Korean state through a donation of Moderna vaccines.

The tests received by the Ministry of Health will be distributed to medical units, county ambulance services and residential centers and will be used to test people suspected of being infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus as well as patients, in order to avoid outbreaks.

On February 28, 2022, it was published in the Official Gazette of Romania, Part I no. 194 and 194 bis, Order of the Minister of Health no. 443/2022 for the approval of the maximum prices of medicines for human use, valid in Romania, which can be used/marketed by the holders of marketing authorization for medicines or their representatives.

Wholesale distributors and suppliers of medical services and medicines for those medicines that are the subject of a contractual relationship with the Ministry of Health, health insurance companies and/or county and Bucharest public health departments, included in the National Catalog of the prices of medicines authorized to be placed on the market in Romania, of generic reference prices and innovative reference prices."
