Minister of Defense Last Minute Decision Officially Announced Romanians

The Minister of Defense has officially announced an important decision that he has taken, but which will have an impact on Romania in the following months, and this is because he is participating in the following days in a European-level meeting in which he will discuss with his counterparts in Europe, including Ukraine, about Security and Common Defense policies.

The Minister of Defense says that including the situation of the war in Ukraine will be one of the topics that will be addressed during the discussions, and the Secretary General of NATO, Jens Stoltenberg, would also be present, so it is possible that a series of very important decisions will be made for European security in the context of the war in Ukraine.

"I am present today, in Brussels, to participate in the meeting of the Foreign Affairs Council (CAE), in the format of the Ministers of Defense from the member states of the European Union. The discussions will be mainly focused on the following topics: the implementation of the Strategic Compass, with an emphasis on increasing the efficiency of the missions and operations carried out under the auspices of the Common Security and Defense Policy.

The security situation in Ukraine generated by the unprovoked and unjustified aggression of Russia, as well as the support efforts for the neighboring country undertaken at the EU level. The Secretary General of NATO, Jens Stoltenberg, and, via videoconference, the Ukrainian Minister of Defense, Oleksii Reznikov, were invited to participate in this session.
