The Minister of Defense made two extremely important announcements for millions of Romanians throughout the country, and this is because, first of all, he is talking about a very important meeting he had with his Israeli counterpart, with whom he discussed security issues in the Middle East, but and the Black Sea.
The Minister of Defense spoke yesterday about a series of extremely important changes for certain types of personnel in public institutions for certain types of activities, but also for establishing the gross amount of job balances starting on July 1 of this year.
"Today, I had a telephone conversation with the Minister of Defense of Israel, Benjamin Gantz. We talked, mainly, about current topics on the current security agenda in the Middle East and the Black Sea region, but also about the status and perspectives of bilateral cooperation in the field of defense. There is a collaborative relationship between the Romanian and Israeli armed forces consistent and fruitful, and today I agreed with my counterpart to continue joint training activities, to deepen cooperation in the air and naval fields, but also in the field of military technologies.
We also pointed out potential collaboration projects between Romania and Israel aimed at the development of capabilities. I conveyed to my counterpart the importance of Israeli investments in Romania and highlighted the excellent cooperation with the Israeli Embassy in Romania in order to evacuate Ukrainian citizens of Israeli origin.
By completing article 16 of annex no. VI to the Framework Law no. 153/2017 on the remuneration of staff paid from public funds, with subsequent amendments and additions, it is proposed to grant double the delegation/posting allowance to military personnel, police officers, prison officers and civilian personnel participating in training missions, military/police exercises , shooting and applications, in camps or ranges.
If they have a duration of more than 24 hours, on the territory of Romania, at a distance of more than 5 km from the locality where they have their permanent place of work, for which the specifics of the activities do not allow returning at the end of the working day to the locality in who have their permanent job.
Establishing the gross amount of basic salaries/position balances/position salaries for staff in public institutions in the defense, public order and national security system, starting on July 1, 2022, at the level of basic salaries/position balances/salaries of office provided by the Framework Law no. 153/2017, with subsequent amendments and additions, for the year 2022."
