Volodymyr Zelensky, the president of Ukraine, decided to thank the leaders of the European Union for the decision to impose the sixth package of sanctions against Russia, eliminating in a very large proportion the oil imports that the countries of the European community have made in the last decades from the aggressor country.
Volodymyr Zelensky says that the profit generated by Russia from the sale of oil to European countries helps it to continue its war in Ukraine, and separately he also talks about raising additional taxes that were applied to Ukrainian producers, helping them to export more easily the products in the European Union in the following period.
Grateful to 🇪🇺, @vonderleyen:, @eucopresident for the decisions in support of 🇺🇦. The 6th sanctions package increases the pressure on RF depriving it of oil profits. Abolition of tariffs & quotas on imports from 🇺🇦 for 1 year supports our producers, agricultural workers & economy.
