The Minister of Health Last Minute Changes in the Romanian Medical System

The Minister of Health announced a series of important last-minute changes for the medical system in Romania, changes that many Romanians should know about, and this is because they refer to general nurses, midwives, or independent medical assistants , very common professions in our country.

The Minister of Health explains below some of the changes that will be included in an order that should be signed after going through the public debate process, and everything you see below will be implemented by the country's authorities in the next period for millions of Romanians.

"The methodological norms regarding the exercise of the profession of generalist nurse, midwife and nurse in an independent regime, approved by the Order of the Minister of Health no. 1.454/2014, published in the Official Gazette of Romania, Part I, no. 928 of December 19, 2014, with subsequent amendments and supplements, is amended and supplemented as follows.

In article 1, after paragraph (4), a new paragraph, paragraph (5), is inserted, with the following content: The functional structure of independent practice offices is provided in annex no. 8. Article 3, paragraph (2) is repealed. Article 5 is amended and will have the following content: (1) The general medical assistant, midwife or medical assistant can acquire the status of an independent natural person by registering with the financial administration in whose territorial area they reside, based on the membership certificate of the Order of General Medical Assistants, Midwives and Medical Assistants from Romania, which will be accompanied by a notice for registration as an independent natural person, according to annex no. 9 to the rules.

(2) The application for the issuance of the approval for registration with the financial administration referred to in para. (1) it will be submitted to the branch of the Order of General Medical Assistants, Midwives and Medical Assistants in Romania where he is registered as a member, according to annex no. 10 to the rules.

(3) After obtaining the Fiscal Registration Code (CIF), in order to practice the profession as an independent natural person, general medical assistants, midwives and medical assistants will apply to the Order of General Medical Assistants, Midwives and Medical Assistants in Romania to issue the annual opinion, in the conditions provided for in paragraph (4).

(4) The annual approval for general medical assistants, medical assistants and midwives who practice their profession as an independent natural person, is issued only to people who prove the conclusion of service contracts with health units/ institutions/ and other providers of medical care services authorized according to the law, according to the acquired professional qualification."
