The soldiers of the Romanian Army participated in ARGEDAVA 22, an exercise that took place at the end of last month at the Secondary Combat Training Center Smardan, where tactical exercises were performed with troops in the field, as well as tactical exercises with live fire.

The Romanian Army carried out the ARGEDAVA 22 exercises with units from several brigades and battalions, all to keep the soldiers in a state of readiness during this period when the war in Ukraine continues.

Approximately 250 soldiers and over 50 technical means from the 1st Mechanized Brigade "Argedava" participated in the "ARGEDAVA 22" exercise in the Secondary Combat Training Center Smârdan, between June 20 and July 1.

During the mission, the military performed tactical exercises with troops in the field and tactical exercises with live fire.

A company from the 495th Parachute Battalion "Captain Ștefan Soverth", after training at the terrain layout, was deployed in the district by air, the soldiers being parachuted into the enemy's combat device to fulfill the mission.

During this time, the soldiers of the 113th Artillery Battalion "Bărăganul" executed fire support combat missions necessary for the operations of military paratroopers by carrying out a barrage of fire in the combat actions of the 1st Mechanized Brigade "Argedava".

Because nothing moves without logistics, the soldiers of the 117th Logistics Support Battalion "Colonel Alexandru Polyzu" proved indispensable to any military operation.

The exercise in the Smârdan Secondary Combat Training Center was aimed at validating the level of training achieved by the forces of the 1st Mechanized Brigade "Argedava" in 2022.
