The coronavirus is generating more and more new cases of infection in Romania during this period, the authorities in our country are already preparing for the evolution of the 6th wave in the coming weeks, and an increase in the number of new cases towards a supposed maximum of 10.000 daily cases per month August.
The coronavirus has generated an increase in the positivity rate only in the last week, in percentage terms it is about an increase of 55% to almost 8% of the total number of tests done in Romania, and the increase itself is large and significant because it is to be expected that it continues to grow in the following weeks.
The coronavirus generates a positivity rate of 25% - 30% of the number of tests in the peak period of wave 5, and in the "quiet" periods between the waves, the positivity rate drops below 1%, so we are still in a good situation , but without measures to prevent the spread, it is understandable why the situation will change rapidly in the coming weeks.
The coronavirus is very present in Western Europe, with France reporting over 200.000 new cases of infection yesterday, while Germany has well over 100.000 new cases daily for months, so that in Romania the effects of the 6th wave that hit Western Europe they would be felt in the following weeks as the Romanians return from their vacations.
