Romania Continues Economic Growth According to the Government

Romania continues its economic growth during this period, according to information provided by Prime Minister Nicolae Ciuca, in the first quarter of this year, a 6.4% increase compared to the same period last year, and 5.1% compared to Q4 2021.

Romania's economy continues to grow, according to the latest data communicated by the National Institute of Statistics. The first quarter of the year saw an increase of 6,4% compared to the same period last year and 5,1% compared to the last quarter.

We managed to maintain the dynamics of economic growth, which confirms the effectiveness of the Government's measures to support the economy and citizens in this period marked by multiple crises.

The decisive step we will take is that, through government measures, economic growth will be felt in a better quality of people's lives.

This growth, one point above that recorded in the Eurozone, takes place in a complicated global economic context. The effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, the crisis in energy and natural gas prices, and the Russian military aggression in Ukraine have generated major challenges for our country.

The package of economic and social measures "Support for Romania" protects the business environment and citizens, alongside the measures to stabilize the prices paid for energy, natural gas or fuels.

The 90 billion euros, European money available to Romania in the next period, and the unprecedented investments financed by the Government this year will strengthen the economy, create new jobs and help us to overcome these multiple crises on which we cross.

Keeping the unique quota, encouraging investments and supporting the business environment are vital for maintaining this positive trend.
