BANCA Transilvania: Important Measure with Impact for Romanian Customers

BANCA Transilvania Important Measure Impact on Romanian Customers

BANCA Transilvania has officially announced a very important measure that it has taken for customers from all over Romania, and it is an impactful one, because from now on they can benefit from higher interest rates on loans. We are talking about a measure to increase interest on loans that several banks in Romania have announced during this period, and those from BANCA Transilvania do not make a distinction and offer their clients more money for savings.

BANCA Transilvania says that interest rates are increasing both for deposits in LEI and for those in foreign currency, both for individuals and for legal entities, so it doesn't matter who saves, because they get more. BANCA Transilvania offers the highest interest rates on deposits for 1, 2, or 3 years, and this is the second increase in interest rates in just 3 months made by the financial institution, the previous one taking place in April.

BANCA Transilvania: Important Measure with Impact for Romanian Customers

BANCA Transilvania increased the interest rates on deposits in LEI, for individuals, to 4.75% for 1-month deposits, 5% for 3-month deposits, 5.5% for 6-month deposits, 6% for 12-month deposits, 6.75% for those for 24 months, and 7% for those for 36 months. Apart from these, BANCA Transilvania says that it has also changed the annual interest in the KidCONT savings account, it being 5% for 12 months, 0.75% higher than what the bank was offering until now.

BANCA Transilvania offers legal entities exactly the same interest rates for deposits as individuals, so there is no difference from this point of view, and this simplifies things. As you can see above, the biggest increase for the interest rates that BANCA Transilvania offers is in the case of 36-month deposits, with 2%, so keeping money for longer periods of time at the bank also brings the most money many.

BANCA Transilvania has on its website all the details about the interest rates that are registered for deposits, so if you want all the information, you should go there to see it.
