DACIA is one of the most famous car brands in the whole world, the models put up for sale registering sales in hundreds of thousands of units annually. Although the company's cars are not ones to be modified in even such a large number, a special model turned many Romanians on their backs.
DACIA launched the Logan model many years ago, and the 2nd generation version was modified to participate in races, and you can see below how spectacular it is. We are talking about a Logan with a 2020 chassis that weighs only 1050 kg and has a fiberglass body, so it is more than suitable for racing.
The Logan left behind the standard engine offered with these models and now uses a 4 horsepower F220R from Renault, with a 6-speed Sadev Sdtsa sequential gearbox. The suspension of this DACIA car has anti-roll control and is adjustable in 3 ways, being produced by those from INTRAX, being specially designed for car races.
DACIA does not make cars for racing, nor does it have any models for sale that have special features to make their cars a bit sportier. Even so, the model in the images was specially designed to demonstrate what a Romanian car can do in races, and its owner is now selling it for 35.000 euros.
Considering that the DACIA car was specially modified to participate in races, no one can use it on public roads, at least not in this form. On the other hand, projects of this kind still show us how versatile Romanian cars can be, even for these types of hobbies.
DACIA was at one point a "sports" car, many decades ago, but it is very far from what we see in the images above. It's hard to believe that DACIA will ever make a "sport" model again, but the model in the pictures is unique, but with a selling price of 35.000 euros, there probably won't be many people looking for it.
