The Romanian Government Recommends Wearing Protective Masks

The Romanian Government recommends wearing protective masks to prevent infection with the Coronavirus, a measure that the executive demonstrates publicly by wearing protective masks at Government meetings, and most likely at public meetings, and you can find more explanations below.

Even today there was a discussion in the meeting with the Minister of Health. There is a concern not only at the level of the Ministry of Health, but also at the level of the Government, in relation to this increase in the number of cases and, from this point of view, any preventive measure from the series of those that have already been mentioned and used, up to after all, not only in Romania, anywhere in the world, any such measures are welcome.

Wearing the mask in crowded spaces, that we are talking about means of public transport or rooms where that minimum distance is not ensured, especially that we are talking now, specialists talk about the fact that although it is not as dangerous as the previous variants, and this formula that tends to become prevalent is quite contagious increasingly contagious.

As such, any additional form of protection can only help us protect each other. It is one of the reasons why, including in the government, you saw what happened today, during the meeting, especially because at the invitation of the prime minister, an important part of the young people who signed up for the Internship Program also participated in the government meeting at the government level and we all wore masks.

This recommendation will be kept implemented at the level of the Government, which is also valid for other categories of congested spaces, in particular, they fall back on the means of public transport, even today - and the Minister of Health emphasized this. The relevant ministry will continue to make these recommendations. We will also support, at the governmental level, through means of communication, the transmission of these measures.

There are no obligations, because at the moment we do not have any legal framework activated that would generate obligations, but, unfortunately, after such a long period, in which the waves of COVID-19 hit Romania as well and we saw tens of thousands of victims who lost their lives during this period.

We all think of their families, but also of those who have recovered, perhaps even with difficulty, going through this disease once or twice or more, that after this painful experience, we all wish to use means of protection, even without having been mandatory, but they come to maintain our health.

There are, according to the data available now, already, if I understood correctly, more than 200 Romanians who are hospitalized in the ATI wards, with a severe form of the disease, and the number of cases I have seen is also increasing, so they are solid reasons to make each of us protect ourselves and those around us, especially when we are in crowded closed spaces. Obviously, to these things are added the measures to preserve hygiene and the other recommendations that the specialists from the Ministry of Health will continue to mention in the public space.
