The Brit says that Red Bull has an extremely good car since Max Verstappen started from a weak position and managed to win the Formula 1 race with a lead of 10 seconds.
Formula 1 is a competition in which the car is extremely important, and the people from Mercedes are getting closer and closer to solving the problems complained by Lewis Hamilton. Meanwhile, Max Verstappen continues to win races, but the British driver still remains on the podium, without yet obtaining a victory in 2022.
Hamilton impressed by Red Bull's F1 car, not Verstappen
Lewis Hamilton would have won the Formula 1 race at the Hungaroring, according to the head of the Mercedes team, Toto Wolff, but only if he had not had problems in the qualifying rounds. He says that the team is still getting closer to solving the problems complained by Hamilton, and to offer him the performances he needs to win the next races.
"If you really look at Max Verstappen's race, the Dutchman started in 10th place, went into the set and won the race by 10 seconds. That pretty much says it all about their car. We found something and obviously we got a bit closer now being able to compete with the Ferraris. And I honestly think in a straight race we might not be that far behind Max." Hamilton stated.
Formula 1 will teacher with a second part of the season starting from the last week of August, so that until then Mercedes has enough time to work on the problems of his car. Whether or not he will be able to solve them remains to be seen, but it is clear that there is a major interest in giving Hamilton the performances he needs.
