Sorin Grindeanu announced new extremely important decisions taken for the construction of highways in Romania, and this is because the authorities in our country have revealed the designation of the constructor for 2 more sections of the A7 highway, Moldova, they will build 4 sections from the Buzau - Focsani segment .

Sorin Grindeanu also talks about the last section of the Sibiu - Fagaras highway, which has a length of almost 74 kilometers, which was put up for auction, and in this way we could finally have the highway built to connect Bucharest with the West of the country almost exclusively by high-speed road.

"Considerable developments for the Romanian road infrastructure! More than 37 km of highway are entering the design and later construction phase. The constructor was appointed for more than 15 km of highway. Almost 170 km of highway were put up for auction. We continue to deliver what we promised the Romanians!

The constructor for 2 more sections of the A7 (Moldova Motorway) has been appointed! Both contracts for the construction of two of the 4 sections that make up the Buzău-Focșani Motorway were awarded today to a Romanian builder: Section 1: (4,60 km), Buzău-Vadu Pașii, for the sum of 689,99 million lei (without VAT).

Section 2: (10,94 km), Mândrești Munteni-Focșani Nord, in the amount of 763,72 million lei (without VAT). The contracts are financed through PNRR, and after signing, the contractor has 20 months to complete the works.

The last Section of the Sibiu-Făgăraș Highway (73,69 km) has been launched in the auction! The notice of participation for the design and execution of Section 1 (14,25 km) was sent today in SEAP and has a deadline for submitting offers on October 14, 2022. The estimated value of the contract for the construction of the 14,25 km (Boita-Avrig- March) is 2,09 billion lei (without VAT).

Another 3 Sections, with a total length of 59,44 were launched in the auction since the beginning of the week: Section 2: Avrig-Mârșa-Arpașu de jos (19,92 km), estimated value of 1,71 billion lei ( without VAT). Deadline for submitting offers, October 11, 2022. Section 3: Arpașu de Jos-Sâmbăta de Sus (17,61 km), estimated value 1,83 billion lei (without VAT). Deadline for submission of offers, October 12, 2022. Section 4: Sâmbăta de Sus-Făgăraş Municipality (16,26 km) and a connecting road (5,65 km), at a total estimated value of 1,16 billion lei ( without VAT). Deadline for submission of offers, 13 October 2022.

The construction of this highway, valued at 6,79 billion lei (without VAT), is financed from Non-Reimbursable European Funds. The contractors who will win these contracts will have 12 months for the design phase and 36 months for the execution of the works. The Sibiu – Făgăraş Motorway sector will ensure the connectivity of the road infrastructure on the Moldova – Transylvania intercorridor.”
