Minister of Health: Last Hour, Important Announcements regarding the Severity of Wave 7, Restrictions and Measures in Romania

Minister of Health Last Minute Important Announcements Severity of Wave 7 Restrictions Measures Romania

The Minister of Health made a series of extremely important last-minute announcements for millions of Romanians all over the country, talking about the 7th wave of the Coronavirus, the measures taken in Romania, but also why there will be no more serious restrictions, the economic situation dictating the avoidance of their.

The Minister of Health says that the 7th wave of the Coronavirus will not be less serious than the 6th wave, but that the current situation is not a serious one, so that then things should be just as "good", with few daily infections and few hospitalizations .

"I don't think it will be an easier one, I never said this, it will probably be similar to the current wave, the sixth one we are going through in this period. It is a pandemic wave in which you reach almost 10.000 cases per day, and in which the degree of occupancy of the hospital beds allocated to this pathology is occupied in proportion to 17%.

In intensive care, 14% - 15% degree of occupancy represents a matter that is acceptable for the health system, because on the one hand it offers medical assistance to those who really need such a thing, it offers medical assistance to patients who have pathologies, and it allows us to appreciate and develop ambulatory medical care.

Family doctors, from my point of view, must always be our partners, of the population, not necessarily of the ministry, in the management of public health issues, whether we are discussing this pandemic, vaccination, testing, patient monitoring, activities for which family doctors are in contact with either the CNSA or the DSPs.

On the other hand, the ambulatory services organized in patient assessment clinics reduce the pressure on hospitals and have shown us that this is the way to avoid situations that lead to the blocking of social and economic activities. We are in too serious a situation from an economic point of view, not only us, everyone, to come up with other types of restrictions that endanger the development of economic activities.

The recommendation to wear a mask exists, we do it weekly, we do it whenever we have the opportunity, including through the personal example of using the mask, and when we are in crowded spaces. Where are these spaces? In the means of public transport, and it is enough to go by metro, bus, tram, to see this. There are people who use the mask, but also in shops, when it's crowded."
