Lithuania Has Already Blocked Issuing Visas for Russians, with One Exception

Lithuania Blocked Issuing Russian Visas Exception

Lithuania has decided not to wait any longer after a decision of the European Commission vis-à-vis blocking the issuance of visas for Russian citizens, and has decided to almost completely stop the issuance of visas for Russians, with one exception, the humanitarian ones, which will continue to be issued by the European state.

Lithuania is one of the countries in the European Union that demand the complete blocking of the issuance of visas for Russian citizens, but Germany, France and the Netherlands are opposed, for obvious reasons, but decisions made by other countries will definitely reduce the number of Russians who can enter Europe during the following years.

"The EU should only issue humanitarian visas to Russians. According to Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis, Lithuania has stopped issuing all visas to Russian tourists and only issues visas for humanitarian reasons, Deutsche Welle reported.

Landsbergis believes that EU countries should follow Lithuania's example and introduce a visa ban for Russian tourists."
