DACIA Logan has problems in Romania in the middle of summer, the most popular new car model sold in Romania throughout 2022 being at the center of an official announcement that shows us that Romanians seem to be losing their "appetite" for the sedan produced in Mioveni by DACIA, and this is bad news.
DACIA Logan recorded in July 2022 sales 55.1% lower than in the same period last year, only 828 units being registered in Romania, and this removed the car from the first place in the list of the best-selling cars in our country, a first for recent years.
DACIA Logan has dominated the sales of new cars in Romania for at least the last 2 years, constantly being the car with the most monthly and annual sales, but in July 2022 it was not even placed in second place in the top, but barely in third place, a significant decrease, seen also in other DACIA models.
DACIA Romania is not the only manufacturer that had problems in July 2022, and that's because, apart from the Hyundai Tucson, all the other models that were in the top 10 best sellers, and have been on the market for more than 1 year, have registered decreases, with the exception of Jogger and Spring, which are newer models.
DACIA had a higher percentage decrease for its models than the market average in July 2022, which shows that Romanians are not very interested in new cars in this period, and apart from the fact that we are in the middle of summer, there are also economic problems from Romania, plus those generated by the war in Ukraine.
DACIA Logan remains in first place in the list of the best-selling cars in Romania in 2022, with 6441 units sold in the first 7 months of this year, the total figure being 9.1% higher than that recorded in the same period in 2021 compared to 2020, but at the end of June the difference was 38.1% between years, so the decrease is significant.
