Vladimir Putin Expanded the Russian Army to Over 2 Million People

Vladimir Putin signed a decree today by which he decided that the Russian Army should be expanded to over 2 million people, of which we are talking about 1.15 million soldiers, and 890.000 people in the form of auxiliary personnel, the number being expanded by 137.000 of people compared to the previous numbers of the army.

Vladimir Putin made this decision in the context in which the Russian army has very big problems regarding the fulfillment of the objectives set regarding the conquest of Ukraine, but the expansion of the number of soldiers will come into force starting from January 1, 2023, so in the meantime the war will be carried with the current numbers.

"Putin signed a decree expanding the Russian armed forces to 2 million. The decree increases the armed forces by 137.000 personnel, Russian state news agency Ria Novosti reported.

According to Russian dictator Vladimir Putin's decree, the armed forces will employ up to 1,15 million military personnel and 890.000 non-military personnel."
