Minister of Education: LAST TIME, the Plan for Important Changes in All Schools

Minister of Education LAST TIME Plan for Important Changes All Schools

The Minister of Education has officially announced the plan for some of the biggest changes that are being made for the education system in Romania, and this is because in the next weeks and months the Education Laws will go through the approval process and then through the Parliament, maybe for adoption.

The Minister of Education says that by the end of September he would like the entire approval process to be completed, so that the project reaches the Government, and from there it should be adopted and sent to the Parliament, with the legislature having the "last word" regarding form of laws.

"Our plan is that next week we will be able to integrate all the amendments we are considering, which are supported by logical arguments, which add value to the project, regardless of where they come from. They can come from those most angry about the law, if they are right we will analyze them, which we will certify through a list of amendments from 1.532 initiators.

After we do the integration, we will send them, according to the Administrative Code, to the National Union of County Councils, the Association of Municipalities, Communes, Cities, from Romania, we send them to the advising ministries, and we have a big hop and big emotions at the Ministry of Finance, for that the budgetary impact of these changes is huge.

I said, all process changes, system architecture, are for nothing if you don't have resources, that's clear. At the Ministry of Justice, at the Ministry of Labor, we must have that hop with the salary of teaching staff. We will also send them to the Legislative Council, to the Economic and Social Council, and if they have observations, we will also send them in such a way that by the end of September, this whole process will be completed.

Consultation process, at this stage, of taking observations, and of adoption in the Government. At the end of September, we want to send it to the Parliament. I hope the Parliament will decide the calendar of the parliamentary debates in such a way that we can have them adopted this calendar year, it is very important to have them adopted this year.

It is about high school framework plans, and it is a big problem what children learn, what they learn, the curriculum. To be able to change it, you have in law that proportion of at least 50% common core, see Romanian language, mathematics, chemistry, physics, biology, etc., plus 20% specialization, plus up to 30% curriculum at the decision of the school, and the desire of the student, where he wants, this is a great novelty."
