Minister of Education: LAST TIME, Official Measures Announced for Students of All Schools

Minister of Education LAST TIME Official Measures Announced to Students of All Schools

The Minister of Education officially confirmed today a last-minute decision that is extremely important for the educational system in Romania, and this is because, as you can see below, a new ministerial order was published to establish the awarding criteria of scholarships.

The Minister of Education talks below about the conditions under which scholarships are granted, and which categories of students from the pre-university system should receive them, but the detailed criteria are described in order 5.379 of September 7, 2022, which will be published in the Official Gazette after it is adopted by the ministry.

"Students enrolled in regular state pre-university, secondary, high school and professional education courses benefit from monthly performance scholarships, merit scholarships, study scholarships and social aid scholarships, hereinafter referred to as scholarships.

Students enrolled in full-time courses in state pre-university education, primary level, benefit from performance scholarships and social aid scholarships. By exception to the provisions of para. (1) and (2), students from full-time courses in private pre-university education can also benefit from the performance scholarship.

Granting the scholarships mentioned in art. 1 represents both a form of stimulation of students who achieve very good results in learning, in different disciplines/fields of study, and a form of support for students from socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds, with a view to their participation in education and the prevention of school dropout .

Scholarships are awarded every school year, during school courses, including during the preparation and support of the national assessment by the 20th grade graduates, the national baccalaureate exam, the professional qualification certification exam and during the practical training. Scholarships are not awarded during school holidays, except for the cases mentioned in art. XNUMX.

Scholarships are provided from the state budget from amounts broken down from the value added tax, approved for this purpose, through the local budgets of the administrative-territorial units. Local public administration authorities can supplement the minimum amount guaranteed by the Government's decision for the approval of the minimum amount of performance, merit, study and social aid scholarships for students in state pre-university education, with frequency, which are granted in the respective school year, from their own budgets. For the purposes of this order, the term "family" means the husband, wife and their unmarried children, who live together and participate in whole or in part in the income and expenditure budget."
