Minister of Defense: Important LAST-HOUR announcements for all Romanians in the country

Minister of Defense Important Announcements LAST TIME All Romanians Country

The Minister of Defense made two extremely important announcements for the millions of Romanians throughout the country, and this is because he is speaking to the people, in the context of the escalating war in Ukraine, about a special operations battalion of the Romanian Army in which NATO soldiers are trained for missions in the region.

The Minister of Defense also spoke in an interview for an Israeli publication about the fact that Romania could buy Israeli drones, that weapons with technologies developed by Israelis could be produced in Romania, but the publication also implies that Romania would be interested to buy the Iron Dome air defense system.

"The 51st Special Operations Battalion "Vulturii" from Târgu Mureș is an elite unit of the Romanian Army and represents a model of collaboration in the spirit of NATO; professionals from Romania, Portugal, Great Britain and France are training here to provide the Alliance with special operations in the region, with advanced technology at their disposal.

All the soldiers who are part of this unit are consummate professionals, I was happy to meet them and convey my appreciation to them and the leadership of the Ministry of National Defense for the exemplary way in which they carry out all their missions with professionalism and courage.

Romania wants to develop military and security cooperation with Israel in many fields, some of which are completely new, such as research and development, emerging and disruptive technologies, artificial intelligence or military medicine.

We want to bring to Romania technological knowledge and Israeli innovations in the context in which Israel does not have the sole objective of selling military equipment, but wants to obtain licenses to manufacture them in our country.

This is an important direction that can be the basis for the development of military cooperation between Romania and Israel. These are some of the aspects I pointed out in the discussion I had in Tel Aviv with the journalist Yossi Melman from the Haaretz daily, during the official visit to Israel."
