Coronavirus Romania New Official Number of New Cases September 27, 2022

The coronavirus continues to be present in Romania, and to spread in the counties throughout our country, and this is because the number of new cases remains substantial, and the officials admit that the pandemic is still far from over.

Romania is still in a very good situation from the point of view of the Coronavirus pandemic, and this is because there are currently no very large numbers of new cases, nor many hospitalizations, so the situation is calm everywhere.

The coronavirus could generate a wave of 7 infections next month, perhaps towards the end of it, but for now things are much better than many people imagined, so it remains to be seen what will happen in the coming months.

"In the last 24 hours, 1.862 new cases of people infected with SARS - CoV - 2 (COVID - 19) were registered, 1.006 more than the previous day. 419 of the new cases in 24 hours are of reinfected patients who tested positive more than 90 days after the first infection.

Distinct from the newly confirmed cases, following retesting of patients who were already positive, 108 people were reconfirmed positive.

In specialized health units, the number of people hospitalized in wards with COVID-19 is 1.366, 60 less than the previous day. Also, 121 people are hospitalized at ATI, 7 less than the previous day. Of the 121 patients admitted to ATI, 110 are unvaccinated.

Out of the total number of admitted patients, 113 are minors, all of them admitted to the wards, 17 less than the previous day and 0 in the ICU, the same as the previous day.

Until today, 66.992 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died.

In the last 24 hours, 3.683 RT-PCR tests (2.357 based on case definition and medical protocol and 1.326 on request) and 17.955 rapid antigen tests were performed. Until this date, at the national level, they have been processed
