Russia Still Does Not Forbid Leaving the Country for Mobilization in the Army

Russia has not yet made a decision on the ban on leaving the country for men who may be mobilized for the war in Ukraine, this despite the fact that in the past days there were rumors indicating that this could actually happen in the next few days weeks.

Russia still does not want to generate even bigger protests by blocking the exits from the country in the context where the mobilization is already generating riots in many areas of the country, so it remains to be seen when exactly this decision will be made, and when it could be imposed in a way official.

"The Kremlin says there is no decision yet on banning military-age men from leaving Russia. Regarding the border closure, Kremlin spokesman Peskov said on September 26: "I don't know anything about it. At the moment, no decisions have been made in this regard," Reuters reports.

Earlier, the independent Russian media outlet Meduza reported, citing two Kremlin sources, that the ban on leaving Russia for men of military age will come into effect on September 28."
