Minister of Transport: Official Announcements of National Importance for All Romanians

Minister of Transport Official Announcements Nationally Important to All Romanians

Today, the Minister of Transport informs Romanians from all over the country about the new developments in the field of infrastructure investments in various regions throughout the country, and this is because investments are constantly being made in infrastructure, which is now very necessary in many areas of Romania.

The Minister of Transport talks below about the need for entrepreneurs working on infrastructure projects in Romania to be serious, about the construction of a new road at the Isaccea Customs, but also about the suspended bridge between Braila and Tulcea, one that many people are already waiting for.

"Infrastructure represents the chance for the rapid development of Romania, in the current complicated economic context. That is why the contracts must take place within the established terms. Serious entrepreneurs are our partners in this effort and we treat them honestly. But we do not tolerate builders who do not respect their obligations! In their case, we will decide on the harshest legally possible measures.

Today I participated in the signing of a collaboration protocol between CNAIR and Isaccea City Hall. This involves the construction of a new access road to Isaccea customs for which CNAIR will provide the necessary technical support. It is an essential project to reduce waiting times and increase the volume of goods at this customs point.

Moreover, a modern road connection with the Isaccea customs point is absolutely necessary, especially in the current regional context. Located only 150 kilometers from Romania's largest port on the Black Sea (Constanța port), Isaccea Customs is a strategic connection point for the transfer of goods between Romania and Ukraine.

Today I checked the construction site of the Suspended Bridge between Brăila and Tulcea. The representative of the Italian builder (from the Japanese-Italian Association) presented a new work schedule with firm public commitments: the bridge and the access roads will be open to traffic from the end of this year, and in the summer of next year, the entire project will be completed (variant to Jijila and unloading on the Galati-Brăila Express Road)."
