DSU Romania Important Announcement regarding Ukraine in Full War with Russia

DSU Romania informs the Romanians about the fact that through Romania was sent to Ukraine the largest shipment of humanitarian aid that France delivered to the Ukrainians in the period from the beginning of the war until now, arriving at the port of Agigea in Constant.

"France's largest humanitarian aid for Ukraine, of over a thousand tons of goods, consisting, among other things, of intervention vehicles, medicines and food rations arrived by sea transport, today, October 5, in Romania, in Agigea port (Constanța).

The ship with humanitarian aid was met by representatives of the Department for Emergency Situations of the Romanian Ministry of Interior, the deputy of the French ambassador in Romania, Philippe Wieber, and the minister-counselor of the Ukrainian Embassy in Romania, Paun Rohovei.

Once the humanitarian aid arrives in Romania, the goods will be transported to the humanitarian hub in Suceava, which operates within the EU civil protection mechanism.

The fire and rescue vehicles will be transported in a convoy of the French civil security, thanks to the deployment on the spot of a detachment of 34 firefighters from the military formations of the civil security and two sailor-firefighters from the specialist battalion in Marseille.

In cooperation with the French embassies in Romania and Ukraine and with the support of the Department for Emergency Situations, the donations will be distributed to identified Ukrainian beneficiaries, including the Ukrainian Emergency Service, the Ukrainian Ministry of Health, but also the cities of Chernihiv and Kharkiv, the municipalities of Odesa and Stryi .”
