During the plenary session, we signed the documents by which we agreed to intensify bilateral and commercial relations between the two states, in several essential areas. We will collaborate in the field of energy and, at the same time, we have received assurances that we will have all the support to secure the supply of oil and derived products.

My colleague Marius Budăi, the Minister of Labor and Social Solidarity, communicated about cooperation in the field of work and social protection of the population. Cooperation in energy, economy, trade and investment, transport, agriculture, environmental protection and the financial sector was also discussed.

We conveyed that our country wishes to expand cooperation with Kazakhstan and act to strengthen trade, investment and economic relations, in particular by encouraging mutual participation in investments in joint projects and by organizing and attracting companies to business forums from both countries, to promote economic climate and cooperation opportunities.

George Niculescu - State Secretary - Ministry of Energy, Horațiu Clepan, State Secretary, Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Tourism, Adrian-George Foghiș - State Secretary, Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure and other specialists also participated in the discussions. I had a working meeting with Magzum Mirzagaliev, the president of CN "KazMunayGas" (KMG) and other members of the management. It is about the national company that, through KMG International, has the Rompetrol group, which owns and operates the largest refinery in Romania and fuel stations.

We discussed the future investments they will make in Romania, including those undertaken through the Energy Investment Fund, the intensification of commercial relations and other technical aspects, including those related to the security of the supply of oil and derived products, which are very important in this period. Through cooperation we will manage to ensure energy security.
