Minister of Defense LAST HOUR Announcement Brought to the Attention of Romanians Today

The Minister of Defense published today a very important notification for all Romanians in the country, and this is because it brings to the attention of all people the fact that during this period he is on an official visit to Georgia, where he met with his counterpart Juansher Burchuladze and signed a collaboration agreement.

The Minister of Defense talks below about what this collaboration agreement entails, bringing benefits to both Romania and Georgia, especially in the midst of war in Ukraine, Russia being an extremely serious threat including for Georgians for a very long time, from sorry.

"Together with the Georgian counterpart, Juansher Burchuladze, we signed, today, in Tbilisi, the Collaboration Agreement between the Ministry of National Defense of Romania and the Ministry of Defense of Georgia, as well as the Bilateral Cooperation Plan for the year 2022 between our ministries.

Thus, as far as the bilateral framework is concerned, areas such as joint training, military education or communications and IT continue to be of interest to both sides, and the Strategic Partnership established by the Joint Declaration signed at the level of heads of state on October 11, 2022 comes to provide an even more solid foundation for the development of bilateral defense cooperation.

On this occasion, I discussed with the Georgian Minister of Defense issues related to the regional security situation against the background of the conflict in Ukraine, the state of bilateral cooperation in the field of defense, as well as cooperation in the regional context and international bodies.

In the #NATO context, we reaffirmed Romania's full support for the advancement of the Euro-Atlantic route of the Republic of Georgia, reviewing together the allied measures from the Madrid Summit dedicated to partners, as well as our country's contribution in an allied context to their implementation. Last but not least, I assured Minister Juansher Burchuladze of Romania's support for Georgia's European aspirations, the continuation of reforms being necessary to ensure the success of this desire.

Together with my Georgian counterpart, I established the maintenance of a constant dynamic of the political-military dialogue, for the most effective and coordinated action and the continuation of joint efforts dedicated to strengthening cooperation in the field of defense.
