Minister of Health: LAST MINUTE Confirmation, Important Problems in Romanian Hospitals

Minister of Health LAST MINUTE Confirmation Important Issues Hospitals Romania

The Minister of Health is talking to all Romanians about an extremely serious problem in hospitals all over Romania, and this is because he officially confirmed the fact that during 2022 utility costs have increased substantially for many medical units in our country, unfortunately.

The Minister of Health explains below how much electricity and natural gas expenses have increased in medical units in Romania, but also the fact that a series of special measures will be announced so that the problems are solved, and hospitals can buy medicines and sanitary equipment .

"WHO is developing something that has never existed before, it is developing some centers, I don't know if one will end up in Romania as well, which refers to the elements of a behavioral and cultural nature in various societies, and to society's response depending on these cultural elements , vis-à-vis public health issues, i.e. how citizens perceive the new vaccines, for example.

It is very different, the perception is very different, the way you have to communicate the information is different. If we don't take into account all this, and put everyone in a single mold, we haven't done anything from the health point of view. The information may be the same, but the way you present the information, how you adapt the information, is very different.

The bills of the medical units increased by 50%/60%, which is not a little. First of all, people should know how the budget of a hospital is constituted, the biggest part is the expenditure on personnel, which according to the law must not exceed 70%, i.e. two thirds. From what remains, we have to pay the utilities, and after that there is the part that remains for sanitary materials and medicines.

I wanted to see, and I have this study, at the level of hospitals in the country, what were the energy expenses in Q3 2021, meaning electricity and gas, and I compared them with the expenses in 2022. The expenses increased by about 45% - 50% to electricity, and 70% for gas. Of course, this in the conditions in which the price for sanitary units was kept under control, in the sense that the price was 1 LEU.

This shows me that in the expenses of a hospital, utility expenses have increased from 10% to 15%, so I have 5% less of a hospital's budget to spend on medicines and sanitary materials. I did this study so that I could present this situation to the Government, and I will come up with concrete proposals for solving the situation." A declared Alexander Rafila.
