Minister of Education 2 New Announcements LAST TIME Romania Students All Schools

Today, the Minister of Education made 2 very important announcements for Romanians throughout the country, announcements that should be known by the students who attend school courses all over Romania, but also by their parents, because first of all, the budget for education was increased .

The Minister of Education says that the recent budget rectification brings another 554.35 million LEI for education, and separately from that he talks about the call for competitive projects for the development of regional consortia for dual education, something announced for some time, but something that will only now be implemented .

"I am happy to announce that following the rectification, the budget for education increases by 554,35 million lei! The Government of Romania adopted in today's meeting, by emergency ordinance, the second rectification of the state budget for 2022. Following this decision, the budget allocated to education increases, in total, by the amount of 554,35 million lei (320 million of lei - budget for education managed by the Ministry of Education, and 234,35 million lei - amounts broken down from VAT from the state budget through local budgets).

The addition of 320 million lei from the state budget for the Ministry of Education is aimed at ensuring salaries for the staff in state pre-university education units. The amounts broken down from VAT from the state budget through local budgets will be used for the payment of school scholarships this calendar year (200,03 million lei), respectively for the financing of accredited private and confessional education, according to the law (34,32 million lei ).

The Ministry of Education, as the coordinator of reforms and investments financed by the National Reform and Resilience Plan (PNRR), launches today, November 17, the call for competitive projects "Pilot program for the development of regional consortia for dual education", financed by the National Plan of Recovery and Resilience – Component C15: Education.

The objective of the call is to develop and endow integrated professional consortia to contribute to the development of professional education, both by increasing the number of qualification fields and graduates, and by ensuring a complete educational path for students enrolled in dual education. Within the consortia, pupils and students can acquire qualifications of level 3 – 8, according to the National Qualifications Framework (NQF).

The beneficiaries of this call for projects are the regional consortia for dual education, established according to the Methodology regarding the establishment of consortia for dual education approved by the Order of the Minister of Education no. 6.216/2022. The total financial allocation of the call for projects is 338 million Euros, eligible amount from PNRR, excluding VAT. The maximum value of a project related to a consortium is 21,12 million Euros."
