Coronavirus Romania New Number of New Cases November 18, 2022

The coronavirus is still one of the concerns that the authorities in Romania have at the moment, and this is due to the fact that new cases of infection are still being registered, and the figures remain quite fluctuating, something that is in line with what they were waiting.

Romania still remains in a very good position from the point of view of the cases of Coronavirus in this period, and this is because we are talking about few new cases, and about few people who are admitted to hospitals in Romania, the situation being totally different from the one since last year.

Even if the BQ.1 and XBB variants cause concern for the WHO and other public health organizations, for now in many countries in Europe the epidemiological situation is much more stable than the one recorded in the same period last year, which is extremely good news good for Romanians.

"In the last 24 hours, 396 new cases of people infected with SARS - CoV - 2 (COVID - 19) were registered, with 45 less than the previous day. 101 of the new cases in 24 hours are of reinfected patients who tested positive more than 90 days after the first infection.

Distinct from the newly confirmed cases, following retesting of patients who were already positive, 32 people were reconfirmed positive.

In specialized health units, the number of people hospitalized in wards with COVID-19 is 619, 18 more than the previous day. Also, 92 people are hospitalized at ATI, 1 more than the previous day. Of the 92 patients admitted to ATI, 76 are unvaccinated.

Until today, 67.250 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died.

In the interval 17.11.2022 (10:00) – 18.11.2022 (10:00) 1 death (female) was reported by the INSP, with no deaths reported before the reference interval.
