According to those from DIGI, in Spain there are 3.6 million users of mobile telephony services, an increase of over 800.000 compared to the same period last year, and with only 1.1 million users less than what is registered in Romania, and without having the physical infrastructure there.
DIGI managed in Spain to lay the foundations of a virtual mobile phone network that has 3.6 million users, something impressive from all points of view, and the growth rate is equally impressive, the number of users increasing by 30% in the last year, it far surpassing the one in Romania.
DIGI Romania also generates substantial amounts of money from Spain every year, hundreds of millions of euros reaching the group's accounts thanks to its entry into this market, and the unexpected success it has on the mobile telephony side seems to have been encouraged including its entry into the market from Belgium, after leaving Hungary.
The Spanish operations posted another strong quarterly performance with a 35% increase in revenue to €128 million. The positive results were driven by a 29% increase in the number of mobile users and a 90% increase in broadband services. Thus, mobile service users exceeded 3,6 million, while the broadband segment reached 746 thousand RGUs.
