"Today I had an open and constructive meeting with Mrs. Ramona Chiriac, head of the European Commission Representation in Romania, together with her team. Among other things, we approved the renewal of the partnership between the Representation of the European Commission and the Ministry of Education, as well as the inclusion within it of an activity plan for the next period.

At the same time, we discussed the status of milestones and targets from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), about the good practices within the projects carried out by the Ministry of Education with the support of the European Commission, as well as about the technical assistance we need to succeed finish the commitments we assumed. I trust that the partnership will continue to be a solid one, based on trust and common values, which will bring the best results.

Today, I invited the members of the Education Commission of the Romanian Senate to a first discussion, on the sidelines of taking over the mandate. During the meeting, specific topics related to the functioning of the educational system were discussed, as well as a series of solutions in the context of finalizing the draft laws on education. I appreciated the openness and constructive approach of the senators present, whom I assured of my respect and willingness to collaborate.

I want to thank Mrs. Monica Cristina Anisie, President of the Commission for Education in the Romanian Senate, for her support in organizing the meeting. At the same time, I thank Senator Rodica Boancă, Senator Liviu Brătescu, Senator Adrian Hatos and Senator Bogdan-Constantin Matei for their presence and feedback.
