Minister of Health Important Official Announcement MAJORA Millions of Romanians

The Minister of Health has published for all Romanians throughout the country a very important last-minute official announcement in which he talks about one of the extremely necessary measures for Romania, namely the creation of a dedicated application for the treatment of burn patients in hospitals throughout the country.

The Minister of Health participated in a meeting that took place between several representatives of the ministry he leads, doctors, but also representatives of a company that is going to develop and implement this IT application, and more details about you can see what happens below.

"The response of the Commission for Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Microsurgery of the Ministry of Health generated as a result of the meeting between the Minister of Health, Prof. Univ. Dr. Alexandru Rafila, President of the Plastic Surgery, Aesthetics and Reconstructive Microsurgery Commission of the Ministry of Health, prof. Dr. Cristian Radu Jecan, Vice President of the Commission, Prof. Univ. Dr. Dan Mircea Enescu and Mihai Matei, representative of the Software Essensys It company:

"We inform you that following the analysis of the clinical usefulness of the "First Aid Burn" application within the Plastic Surgery, Aesthetics and Reconstructive Microsurgery Commission of the Ministry of Health, as well as the discussions on this topic, with doctors from all care units for burn patients in country, the following conclusions were reached: An attempt was made to establish the place that this application can occupy in the treatment of patients with burns, more precisely who can use it in such a way as to bring a benefit in the evolution of the burned patient.

We excluded from the start its use in centers specialized in the treatment of burn patients. They have in their structure medical personnel who have the necessary knowledge and experience to carry out a dynamically adapted correction of the hydroelectrolytic and acid-base disorders associated with this pathology.

The hydroelectrolytic rebalancing of a patient with extensive burns from the moment of the accident, until he is received in a UPU, is based on rapid rebalancing formulas that are known by the personnel who transport them in specific conditions. This knowledge is acquired both in the mandatory plastic surgery module from year 6 (UMF Carol Davila) and in the specialized training in emergency medicine.

The only place where it could have found its usefulness is in the Emergency Departments. In these structures, the burned patient must stay for as little time as possible, after which he will be redirected to a specialized structure. The use of the aforementioned application in the UPU is difficult to achieve, since the completion of the burn scheme requires a correct prior surgical debridement of the lesions (performed in the operating room) and an experience on the part of the user in diagnosing their depth."
