The Minister of Transport made a series of very important announcements aimed at millions of Romanians from all over the country, announcements that everyone should know about by now, and this is because they bring to our attention a series of infrastructure projects that follow to be carried out by the authorities.

The Minister of Transport talks below about several decisions that have been taken for the infrastructure projects of national importance that are in full swing in Romania, or that are about to start, they target both road and railway infrastructure, two of the sectors with the needs the biggest.

6 bids submitted for the design and execution of Section 4 of the Sibiu-Fagăraș Motorway! Builders and designers from Romania, Turkey, Georgia and Ukraine have submitted offers for the 16,26 km section between Sâmbăta de Sus, Făgăraş Municipality and the road connecting DN1! The contractors who will win the 1,16 billion lei contract will have a maximum of 48 months (12 months design, 36 months execution) to complete the works.

The Sibiu – Făgăraș highway (68 km), the construction of which is to be financed from European funds, will ensure access to the European TENT – Comprehensive transport network. A new batch of the Capital Beltway (A0) has a designated builder! After re-evaluating the bids, CNAIR announced today the winner of the tender for the design and execution of Lot 1 of the A0 Nord.

The association of Romanian and Italian contractors must complete the design and works in 34 months (12 months design, 22 months execution). The value of the contract is 815 million lei (without VAT) and is financed from European funds. 17,5 structures will be built on this 10 km highway lot. If no objections are filed, the contract can be signed in 10 days.

Another contract of 1,91 billion lei, financed by PNRR, was signed by CFR Infrastructura! The Spanish constructor has 42 months (6 months design and 36 months execution) for the modernization of Lot 2 of the Caransebeș-Timișoara-Arad railway section (162,19 km). On the 54,13 km of the Lugoj-Timișoara Est railway sector (Lot 2), the builder must carry out several important works."
