Engie, the main provider of electricity and natural gas services for Romanians throughout the country, officially informs the millions of customers who rely on its services, about one of the most important measures that must be taken legally, but also the way it will be officially applied.

Engie tells the customers from all over Romania below that all those who have a price under the supply contract under the value of the one capped by the legislation in force, then it will still remain valid, at least until the end of the validity period of the offer that it is written in the contract that was already signed.

Those from Engie Romania say that if it is necessary to renew the contract for the provision of services, then the new prices that the legislation in force applies to us at the moment will be taken into account, so we will not pay more than the price anyway capped, at least as long as the cap is legally in force.

Engie Romania explains on its website everything that any of the customers from all over the country should know when it comes to energy prices, but also the ceilings that are in force from a legal point of view, so it is important to look with great attention to all information that is publicly available.

Customers who already have a price below the capped price in their supply contract will continue to benefit from the current price, until the end of the offer's validity period. In the case of the renewal of offers related to ongoing contracts and for new ENGIE customers, the new prices will take into account the cost structure and as provided in GEO 27/2022, the capped energy prices valid between April 1, 2022 and August 31, 2023 will be applied .

Next, the final price invoiced between April 1, 2022 and August 31, 2023 will always have the lowest value between the capped price (depending on the customer category and consumption history from 2021), the price from the supply contract in force and the price calculated based on the average acquisition cost for the entire customer portfolio and the provisions of GEO no. 27/2022.
