Minister of Education: New Last Minute Measures Announced to Schools and All Students

The Minister of Education New Measures LAST TIME Announced to All Students' Schools

The Minister of Education announces a series of very important new measures, at the last minute, for millions of school students from all over the country, and this is because we are talking about decisions that have been taken, and are starting to be implemented in terms of dual education in Romania, one of the most important changes.

The Minister of Education explains below what kind of measures have already been taken, and what kind of measures are still needed for this new education system to be active, and to help young people from all over the country to be prepared for the labor market, everything being made in partnership with economic operators in the country.

"The essential role of the economic operators within the dual education consortia will be the key to success, as they will be the ones who will make a major contribution to defining the new competencies of our young people. Participation will diversify the types of professional training, and the investments made will contribute both to ensuring a quality framework in professional training.

We are talking about training both within the campuses and at the workplaces, as well as the partnership valorization of resources. Local and regional industrial ecosystems will be supported with future employees, who we hope will have relevant skills for the new trends on the labor market. Because we want to support and encourage the presence within consortia, for this call for projects, economic operators will benefit from an aid.

The value of this aid will be de minimis 200.000 euros for the eligible activities, from which we have excluded the granting of scholarships to pupils and students, which this time will remain the responsibility of the UATs, through the project grant. From the de minimis aid, other types of eligible activities can be carried out, such as the organization and development of the practical training courses provided in the education framework plan, the provision of the human resources necessary for the practical training of students.

Ensuring work and protective equipment for pupils or students, etc. We also proposed legislative measures to correct some elements that were not in line with the examples of good practice that we have now in dual education, for example we corrected the composition of the administrative councils within the educational units that organize professional and technical education, to ensure equally the participation of members of economic operators.

We understand the need for balance within these partnerships. Obviously, the legislative measures were made with the support of the Parliament and the education committee in the Senate. We are in the middle of a new stage when it comes to dual education in Romania, and we need a close, honest partnership between all the entities involved in this process."
