Foldable devices have particularly appealed to companies in the financial services industry, where 74% of financial advisors say staying connected through mobile apps is important or critical.

Galaxy Z Fold4 – Samsung's fourth-generation foldable smartphone – is ideal for multi-tasking. Small enough to fit in a pocket, it still offers a large screen that allows you to do more things at the same time compared to traditional smartphone screens.

Galaxy Z Fold4's expansive screen offers a larger work area that can be used similar to a desktop computer, with a PC-like taskbar. This allows users to juggle between different actions, manage, launch and switch between applications, all without interrupting the core activity.

The large screen also allows the use of the Multi Windows function. Galaxy Z Fold4 can open up to three apps at once, including two apps alike for side-by-side comparisons. For example, users can reply to Gmail while viewing two tabs in Chrome, as if they were working at a multi-screen office.

The Galaxy Z Fold4 also adapts to the user's workflow. Flex Mode not only provides a hands-free experience for video conferencing, but can now support dedicated e-signature or note-taking capabilities on partner apps using the S Pen.

Powerful partnerships that enhance the experience on foldable devices

In today's market, competition is fierce, especially in the financial services sector. Professionals need the best tools to help them maintain consistency and routine, even when working remotely.

Their devices must support complex workflows, including alerts, research, charts and portfolios, and give them the power and productivity edge they need to stay competitive. Working with industry-leading partners, Samsung has enhanced the utility of the Galaxy Z Fold4 in unique ways, leading to wider enterprise adoption of foldables.

According to a recent survey, the Bloomberg Professional app is the most used financial services app by investment professionals such as traders, analysts and portfolio managers. Using the Galaxy Z Fold, financial professionals can access Bloomberg market data, analysis, news and communications on the go in a more intuitive and engaging way, while maintaining the user experience and functionality they are familiar with.

On the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4, the adaptive layout of the Bloomberg Professional app provides access to information and multitasking on the go. Users can switch effortlessly from the front screen, ideal for quick Instant Bloomberg (IB) conversations, to the large screen, which makes it easy to read news, monitor real-time market data, evaluate portfolios or analyze charts.

DocuSign, the world's best e-signature solution used by the top 24 Fortune 500 companies active in the financial sector, has also been optimized for Android 12L. Galaxy Z Fold4 makes signing deals on big screens easier. Users can now swipe and quickly send email attachments in Multi-View mode directly in DocuSign eSignature, sign them using the S Pen and through the dedicated Flex Mode signature.

Additionally, DocuSign has created a PC-like experience using Samsung DeX mode. By connecting the device to a monitor, users get the same quality experience regardless of screen size or orientation, thanks to DocuSign's adaptive approach to high-resolution design.

Samsung has also partnered with IBM to address the challenges that financial professionals may face and enable them to come, no matter where they work, to help customers. IBM IX, IBM Consulting's experience design partner, worked with a leading financial institution to develop a mobile experience that can help financial advisors quickly access and manage market and portfolio information.

Samsung DeX and S Pen integration allows users to interact with data, drag and drop between apps, convert handwriting to text, and even capture digital signatures on the foldable device. Samsung's philosophy of being open to collaboration has also allowed other popular applications for video conferencing, customer contacts, email and scheduling to be incorporated into a multi-app interface.

Samsung will continue to work with industry-leading partners to create new experiences for users to have through their mobile devices, and collaborate more closely in the coming months to maximize the benefits of innovative technologies such as foldable smartphones.
